Scheduler Basics

ZDelete.NET uses Windows Task Scheduler in order to implement automatic cleaning. However it implements its own built-in user interface for task scheduling, so it is recommended to use ZDelete.NET interface instead of standard Windows Task Scheduler.

You can configure ZDelete.NET to run cleaning process automatically according to one of the following schedules:

  • Daily. Cleaning will be performed at specified time every N day(s).
  • Weekly. Cleaning will be performed at specified time every N week(s) in selected days of week.
  • When Idle. Auto CleanUp will be started when computer has been idle for specified amount of time.

Besides configuring the scheduler options you need to Enable Scheduler to automate ZDeleting. You can disable scheduler anytime by checking off Enable Scheduler option on Scheduler navigation pane. Your configuration settings related to the scheduler will remain intact.

Current Status

You can see current scheduler status (ON or OFF) on My Computer navigation pane.

Security

You don't need to provide account name and password for running ZDelete.NET by scheduler, but the account must be logged on at the time the cleaning task runs. If you prefer to clean your profile during after work hours, do not log off but simply lock the screen.
